Kitchen Remodel - Before & After Photos

The original kitchen was a very crowded, outdated space with limited storage and counter space. In order to gain more room to expand we removed a non structural wall separating the kitchen and small dining area. We expanded the counter top to include a long peninsula with room for a bar stool under. The sink and cook top stayed in the same location, which helped save on costs. The granite we used is an exotic variation called “Aurora Borealis”. It has hints of blue mixed with greens and browns. The slabs used in the kitchen were two separate slabs sold as singles. Generally you buy granite in pairs, but we were able to cut the material costs in half by finding two singles that matched in coloring and pattern. If we didn’t tell you, you would probably never notice.

To finish off the kitchen we added:

-Custom Shaker Style Cabinets

-Exotic Granite Counters

-Stainless Steel Appliances

-Tile Floors and Backsplash

-Recessed Can Lights & Undercounter Lights

With this backyard we used the existing concrete patio and added to it by saw cutting a section to add a new stone path and borders. Other features of the yard are a natural stone pondless water feature, composite deck with cable railing, custom fence and gate, and new landscaping.

Large Yard Remodel: We started with a large untouched area of the yard and began working on a design to fill multiple needs. They would like to have a large flat area for the kids to play, putting green, and areas to relax. We created a design that encompassed those requests and began by regrading the entire area. Installed retaining walls on the top and bottom of the hillside creating a flat area in the center to put the new turf. Decomposed granite paths lead to and from the different areas. All of the landscaping is drought tolerant, low water, and low maintenance watered by drip irrigation.

Small Kitchen Remodel: This was one of the most challenging kitchens we have ever designed. Our client wanted to add more work and storage space to an already small kitchen. We gave the kitchen an updated look with a modern appliances and kept to the craftsman style of the property with a traditional shaker style cabinets. Removing the wall between the kitchen and living room made the greatest improvement. The kitchen now has a very open fell even though it is so narrow. We built in custom base cabinets, wine storage, and counter top just large enough to still allow space to cook and pass through. A matte finish granite, glass tile, and under counter lighting completes the kitchen.

Exterior Remodel: In this project we utilized the existing walls, most of the patio, and portions of the entry walkway. We cut out one section of the back patio to create a raised area and fire pit, then added a seat wall and arbor around the area to create new planters and complete the look of the new space. On the hillside we created a new planting plan and constructed a pondless water fall feature. We were able to give the whole yard a new look without starting from scratch.

Patio Project: In this project we started with the remains of an older backyard patio, patio cover, and some minor landscaping. We were able to utilize some of the existing patios and add to them to create a new outdoor living space. Once we had finished all the major structures, BBQ Island, and stonework we came back and acid stained the new and old concrete to give it a consistant look throughout.
